About this site

This website is designed for viewing with the Internet Explorer browser, with a computer screen display setting of 1024x768. Each of the sections listed on the left-hand menu contains several subsections which should make searching for a particular subject much easier. If you cannot find the information you need, either use the Sitemap A to Z or 'Search this site' tool on the left-hand menu. To use the search tool, type what you are looking for into the box, and then click on the 'Search this site' button.

If you cannot find something, or if you come across a problem with the site, please e-mail us and let us know.

Accessibility

We have tried to make this website as accessible as possible in terms of design and layout. There are now many guidelines for websites which were established in order to deal with any issues suffered by people with disabilities such as blindness or dyslexia. Also, it is important to consider that not everyone looking at a site will be using the same standard or make of computer and internet browser.

At the bottom of each page of this website there are some symbols. These relate to various checks we have carried out on the site.

Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader

Many websites, including this one, prefer to use the Acrobat pdf format for brochures, magazines and other documents that can be downloaded. Browsers

There are now several web browsers available that people use to 'surf' the internet. This site is best viewed with Internet Explorer, although we have checked it in other browsers. Different browsers display websites in different ways. If you come across a page or something that looks strange in your particular browser, please let us know so that we can try to correct it.

Display settings

Web pages will look different depending on the size of computer monitor you have, and also on the 'screen resolution' setting. The higher the screen setting, the more information you can see on screen without scrolling. This website is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels. To change your screen resolution, do the following.

Windows

  • Click on the 'Start' button and then 'Control Panel'
  • Click on 'Display' (Appearance and Themes - Windows XP)
  • Click on the 'Settings' tab
  • Move the slider to 1024x768
  • Click on 'Apply' and then 'OK'

Macintosh

  • Open Mac Preferences (in Mac OS9 open Apple Menu, then Control Panels, then Monitors)
  • Click on 'Displays'
  • Select 1024x768 as the resolution
  • Click on 'OK'

Javascript
