The Corporate Membership logo

 

Corporate membership of Plain English Campaign is the ideal way to make it clear to your customers, and to your staff, that your organisation is committed to clear communication. Through your unique membership logo, your customers will be reminded of this every time they read your documents. Your staff will be reminded every time they write.

What if not all your communications are crystal clear? Your logo will tell customers that you are trying as hard as you can. Also, you may find that the logo will prompt your customers to tell you where you're going wrong. You could pay many thousands of pounds to get that kind of feedback.

We will discuss with you any complaints about documents carrying the corporate membership logo. Only in extreme cases would we withdraw corporate membership without refunding the membership fee.

What are the benefits?

 

The full benefits of corporate membership are as follows.

  • We will supply artwork for your exclusive numbered corporate membership logo. Through the logo you will be immediately identified with a campaign that exists to see that customers get a fair deal.
  • All future Crystal Marks will be free of charge (but, naturally, each document must reach Crystal Mark standard).
  • Any editing we do for you will be at specially-reduced rates.
  • The 'Approved by Plain English Campaign' logo is at a specially-reduced rate for members.
  • You will get some free training for your staff each year (see the rates section for details).
  • You can send staff on our diploma course. The course normally costs £3050 + VAT for each place, but as a corporate member you would pay only £2550 + VAT. We'll be happy to talk to you about your training needs.
  • If your website is suitable for our Internet Crystal Mark, you pay no fee for the first year (normally £1500 + VAT), and your renewal fee is reduced from £750 + VAT to £300 + VAT.
  • We will send our plain English trainers to your offices to give your staff a free presentation introducing plain English.
  • Your customers will know you care enough about them to communicate clearly and honestly.
