No swanning around with housing jargon
Wintry Sunday mornings for sensible folk are all about warm duvets and cooked breakfasts, but not for Plain English Champion, Adam Addison of Swan Housing Association. Adam braved the sub-zero temperatures, with moral support from his wife Clair, to join Marie of Plain English Campaign at the Phoenix FM radio studios in Brentwood.
Plain English hears from Parliament
When the High Peak Radio team did a live broadcast from the halls of Westminster earlier this week, Plain English Campaign had the chance to ask High Peak MP, Andrew Bingham, about the chances of getting a Plain English Act into UK Parliament. This recording is the reply from Mr Bingham. The campaign is looking forward to working with as many MPs as possible to achieve a law similar to that of the Plain Writing Act 2010 in the USA. Ask your MPs what they are doing about plain English in public information.
You can listen to Ben Price asking Andrew Bingham a question on behalf of the Plain English Campaign during a live broadcast from Westminster Palace by clicking the start button in the embedded player below.
